New user - New car!

Hi all, Found this site about a week ago and have found it invaluable in finding me a V40! Ive found one, paid the deposit and pick it up tomorrow, its an 02 1.9td (se i think?) its a fairly high miler (100k almsot exactly) but has a full volvo main dealer history, all belts changed at 85k and drives amazingly smoothly, bodywork and interior are spotless as well which is a bonus Just wanted to see if theres anything to watch out for, any tips? any major issues to watch out for with the Diesel engine (115bhp is mine) Many thanks Ross

Welcome to the 40' series. I've got the S40 same engine and trust me 100K miles is nothing, I bought mine with 110K on it, i'ts just gone over 120K now a year later and it's great. Fires first time, get at least 44mpg but now im doing more motorway work it's getting around early to mid 50's MPG. I have been fault free on mine so far but if you do get any problem's just post here and the X40 crew here are superb at answering queries and problem's.

Welcome :) I know diesel engines go on forever and especially being a volvo diesel even longer i suppose. I had a BMW 325 TDS with 250k on the clock and the car fell apart while engine was still running at full power! Gotta love those transmounted engines :D Anyway welcome and i hope you love your volvo like we love ours!!! Regards Justin
