Petrol smell??

I keep getting a right stink of petrol from the back end of my v70 ?but there are no visible signs of leaks anywhere? anyone had the same problem ?? cheers mark.:thumbs_up::thumbs_up:

what he said. also i remember hearing something about certain cars being recalled due to a flawed design bit of pipe from the fuel tank. cant remember which years/models tho. think ti was the 850 but maybe SV70 too?

You could inspect the filler cap to make sure it is sealing properly this is done at mot but the seal could be damaged or worn. previous car I had gave similar symptoms new cap cured it. though it was not a screw on. maybe a trip to local mot centre and ask them. Hope this helps
