Very nice! I only got miserable headphones right here. And I don't know your old version neither. But it sounds very clean and alive to me. Except for the noise in the intro on the right channel part...whats that from? cheers, m

Glad to hear from you, Kinda. Yeah, a gate was a pretty silly thought, this is the perfect chance for me to give Reafir a try. I was always scared to use it 'cause i thought i'd end up removing too much of the original sound with the unwanted sound. I'll have to experiment with the balance. I agree, you can't get more 'loungey' than this song! I pictured Bill Murray doing his ancient SNL lounge bit.
Hey, Jorgen. Thanks for the reply. This is a song I wrote years ago, but never did anything with it until now (I was too embarrassed--being in a hard rock band at the time). I was the main songwriter, but I'd secretly write these little off-beat songs on the side-not daring to let anybody else hear them, then put them aside. They include pretty much every style you can think of--even country (I AM a Georgia southerner). Oh, and I'm not Carri bean or anything, i'm just a plain ol' black guy. ;D I was afraid it was too hot, but my meter (because of T-racks limiter) never exceeded +3 peak. I think the whole thing might be too compressed. I might loosen it up some so there's more breathing room. But i really don't know how without losing volume... Much thnx, Chris. If you had heard my screaming with my old band, you probably wouldn't think so much of my voice. ;)
sammy, Very cool song and mix. Well performed. I'd be especially interested in how you processed the vox. Tight job man! And, I remember Bill Murray doing his lounge routine singing the theme from Star Wars ("...talkin' 'bout bar wars...") Kyle
